When you still want to look good for work or an evening out you do not have to compromise your comfort to be fashionable, it just takes a bit of forethought.
Starting with your lingerie is a good idea, having the right bra can change your shape completely.
Comfortable Ladies Fashion
Pyjama Trousers
Have you spotted silk pyjamas in places such as Topshop and Marks and Spencer?
The trousers can look amazing, far too nice to go to bed in. Treat yourself to some of these and wear the pants with a t-shirt and perhaps a blazer and no one will ever know what they were really meant for.
The thing with pyjama trousers is they are probably the most comfortable you will ever wear. The same will not work with the flannelette PJs you have had for years, but you probably already realised that.
Leggings
Leggings can be a real giveaway that you want to be comfortable, but make them look more sophisticated by teaming them with a Gerry Weber top and accessories. Then you will be able to wear them anywhere you want.
The beauty of leggings is that you have no zips or fastenings to worry about, and with a pair of long boots to finish off your outfit, you will definitely look chic while being comfortable.
Layers
It is very easy to look fashionable if you wear layers. It does not matter too much what they are.
You can wear jeans or any other type of trousers, with your favourite top. Throw a long coat or jacket over the top and you may be surprised how chic it looks.
Trench coats are ideal for this effect, but also long and warm woollies can be just as good.
Being attired in this way also tends to be flattering to your figure, as well as being one of the most comfortable.
Wear Flats
These days, there is such a huge range of flats that you will always find some that you like. Ladies sandals come in so many styles you really can have a pair for every outfit.
Your feet will thank you when you do not make them struggle in stilettos all the time, and more women are realising this.
Look down any high street and you will see more people wearing flats shoes from Converse to ballet flats than ever before because now they can be part of any chic looking outfit.
Comfortable flats are one of the latest trends, and now they come fur lined as well to keep your feet warm as well as comfy.
Thick Heels
If you have to wear heels all day, make them thick ones.
These put less of a strain on your calf muscles than stilettos, and your feet will not ache quite so much.
As it happens, thicker heels are in fashion at the moment, so you will be keeping up to date by wearing them.
Special Occasions
You can still look chic and feel comfy can also be on special occasions, where more formal attire is required.
Whether you are attending a ball or a prom and need a long prom dress for the event.
You can always adapt the style to feel more comfortable.

Because being comfortable is one of your priorities, it does not mean that you cannot be trendy as well.
Fashion designers seem to have realised that comfort matters, and many of the latest trends are far more comfortable than ones from the past.

Even though I am short I only ever wear flats or shoes with a chunky heel or wedge now. Far more comfortable and practical and such a great selection in the shops.
