Kylie Cosmetics Summer Palette Review

I may be a little late with this Kylie Cosmetics Summer Palette review as it launched a while back. However, I had no intentions of reviewing it until now as it was my first Kylie palette and I wasn’t sure what to expect

This is the Kylie Cosmetics The Summer Palette review which I hope you love as much as me

With the introduction of Kylie’s newest release with best friend Jordyn. I thought it would be good to show the quality of the make up, considering how much it costs to buy. We are fortunate that high street store Boots in the UK have now started to stock Kylie Cosmetics. This is great as now we don’t need to consider the added import tax having it shipped over from the USA

Kylie Cosmetics the summer palette have and still are flying off the shelves. They are often out of stock and can be hard to get hold of in the UK. I prefer to shop with UK supplier so I am not charged an import tax on top of the price of my purchase

And if you have ever wondered why, just take a look

I have been using The Summer Palette  since it was released

I recently bought another one as I have hit pan on a few of the colours and thought now would be a great time to show you it

Pressed Powders

There are 14 pressed powders comprising of-

Beach Babe – metallic icy topper with gold flecks

Pool Day – matte light apricot

Melon – matte bright papaya

Aquaholic – matte light brown

Hottie – matte light orange

Blazing – matte dirty brown

Sun Kiss – metallic copper with a maroon tint

Heat Wave – metallic orange copper

Summer – metallic yellow gold

Need a Tan – matte burnt orange

Juicy – metallic bright orange

Suns Out Buns Out – matte deep plum

Bikini Mama – metallic shimmery brown

Always in! – matte black

Some very unique sounding names don’ t you think?

The powders themselves are extremely pigmented and extremely strong too. If dramatic is the look you are after then you will get it with these colour pans

The intensity means they have good staying power, but there is fall out so make sure you consider that when applying. Fall out is natural from most powders so I expected it but worth mentioning either way

Both matt and metallic blend brilliantly and effortlessly so it is easy to be creative with your look

A little really does go a long way with these powders. You would be best to build it up to the intensity rather than diving straight in as you could be surprised at how intense they are

The colours are all very complimentary of each other and can work as duo’s or if you are creating a cut crease

My favourite ones to blend are Melon and Juicy, it is like summer on your eyes and I got a lot of comments at how great the colours looked

Suns out Buns Out makes a gorgeous autumnal look when mixed with beach babe and summer

Despite being the summer palette the colours it has can help create stunning looks all year round

I can see myself reaching for it throughout autumn too without fail

If you like to read reviews like this I also reviewed the Urban Decay heat palette or even the more budget friendly Lacura eyeshadow palettes

Applying make up with the right make up brushes can be vital in how well your look comes together and lasts. Using an eyeshadow primer will not only intensify your pigments but also help them blend together better and last longer without creasing. Always something to consider when creating a make up look

This looks like a lovely palette but with more wrinkles these days a sparkly one draws attention to them. Would love a good quality palette with only matte colours.

Definitely not a palette for me! Anything with an orange tinge makes me look as if I’m ill. Even with browns, I have to be really careful to stay clear of anything coppery or russet as it tends to make my sallow skin look even worse.
