The biggest financial complications often strike those who are not careful with their money.

Manage your Money Better

Track Everything for 30 days

The first thing that you need to do is track absolutely everything you have over a period of 30 days. Once you have done this, you can then start to get a feel for what you are spending your money on

This will help you to create the best budget and it will also help you to save a ton of money later on. This may be difficult at first but when you get into the swing of things, it will become a habit and you won’t think anything of it

Combine your Finances

If you are married then there shouldn’t be “his” and “her” banks. Everything belongs to both of you. From personal experience with being married to someone who was rubbish with his finances, this helped me keep track of spending and ensure bills were paid on time. Typically 1 person from the couple takes charge of the finances.

It’s important that you deposit everything into one bank so that you can get everything organised. When you have done this, you can then deposit all of the money into a checking account and go from there.

You can also create a budget between both of you and this will help you to eliminate any fights over money in the future.

Little things like this can make a massive difference to the finances that you have.

Make a Calendar for your Bills

If you are having trouble staying organised with the bills that you have then it’s so important that you look at the calendar so that you can see when your next one is due.

It’s so important that you review this once every week and that you pay the bills that are due for that week alone.

This will help you to manage your money better and it will also make it much easier for you to stay on top of everything when comparing costs.

Always Use Cash

When you have done your budget, you may find that some of your money is in cash and that some of it is in your bank.

With your cash, make sure that you put it in envelopes and then write on the letter what that money is for. This will stop you from overspending and you know that when you go into that money, you will have to replace it.

This is a fantastic way for you to secure yourself mentally and financially. Not to mention that it will also help you to become more sensible with the money that you do have.

So there are so many things that you can do to make yourself better with money. When you follow the above steps, you know you won’t have any problems at all.

After all, saving is easy once you can understand the fundamentals of it.
