Slimming World is a diet plan I follow on and off but one part of the diet I stick to is the Slimming World chips.
I actually prefer eating these chips to any shop bought oven chip.
Slimming World Chips
How to make slimming world chips is pretty easy. It is one of the first things that I made when I started following Slimming World.
You can make them by peeling and chopping the potatoes into the desired sizes.
I like mine more of a wedge size than fries I think they cook a bit better in the oven too. Some people enjoy the skin on potatoes, this would be best to make with baking potatoes. You will just need to make sure they have been cleaned first.
I lay them on a baking tray and spray them with Fry Light cooking spray. When making these I use the Butter Flavour Fry Light but they do come in a variety of different flavours.
There are a lot of different low calorie oil sprays you can use when baking these syn free chips. If you decide to add other oils you will need to syn that oil amount to your daily syn allowance.
I then sprinkle pinches Spice’n’Tice Barbecue spice over them to add a bit of extra flavour. You can put whatever seasoning you prefer over them this is entirely a taste preference. Just ensure it is a syn free seasoning if pre-mixed to ensure you are not adding to your syn allowance without realising.
Spice’n’Tice rubs also come in a variety of flavours which I use for general cooking. They are well worth investing in to add some flavour to your syn free cooking.

There is also a chips and wedges spice, but I personally prefer the BBQ one when making slimming world chips. I do use the chips and wedges seasoning when I’m making slimming world chips in the air fryer.
Then add your chopped and seasoned potato pieces to the oven and bake for 45 minutes at 230 degrees. If you don’t preheat your oven add this time onto your baking time.
Cooking times can vary based on the cooker you are using and the temperature your oven can achieve. Make sure you are happy that they are cook enough before consuming (cooking time is a guide)
Once cooked, remove from your oven and Enjoy! Be warned they do come put piping hot and far too hot to consume instantly.
I plan to post some meals and recipes over at Synderella Slims

The fries look so tasty, I was thinking about buying an actifry to have healthy chips – but a spray with the fry light and putting in the oven is a fabulous idea.
