Know your worth and your value when it comes to doing any form of work for someone else.

Is there anything more frustrating than chasing the money you are owed? Self-employed business owners are often chasing clients for late and overdue invoices. This really shouldn’t be the case and we should be paid fairly and on time.

When you have worked hard to complete a job. If you have been off sick for a certain length of time. Or overcharged for one of your monthly bills, the struggle to get what’s due is real. This can cause so many other financial woes when payments are not on time or correct.

So many people are chasing the compensation or pay they truly deserve and it truly is a losing battle. Being left short is not a nice feeling especially when you depend on that income.

Know Your Worth

Know your rights as a worker, consumer and member of the public.

You should be able to start managing your money woes and get the financial backing you are fully entitled to.

Sick Pay At Work

Have you been off work recently due to a health condition or mental health issue?

If your employer refuses to pay you for your time off sick then you need to chase the money you are owed.

You should research your statutory sick pay entitlement and explain what the laws are on this topic.

Your employer has a duty to pay you when you are ill. As long as all of the conditions are met.

Client Conundrums

Do you work on a freelance basis or carry out a job on the side of your current one?

If your client hasn’t paid you for a product or service, this can be the most frustrating thing that could ever happen to you.

All you can do is politely send them an invoice with all of the relevant payment information. If this doesn’t work you may then have to take out legal action on the person or company yourself. Added stress you shouldn’t really have to deal with.

Compensation Calamities

You could be due compensation if you have been involved in an accident or incident that wasn’t your fault.

Whether you were injured at work or were involved in a car crash, you need to keep chasing the money you are owed.

Although it can be a long and laborious process, you need to keep chasing and eventually, you will get the justice you deserve.

Bill Blues

When you are overcharged for your mobile phone bill or energy consumption it can be extremely frustrating.

Follow any issues up with the company straight away and make sure you keep the proof of your usage and payment on hand as evidence. You might have to go through a couple of people to get the result you’re looking for, but it will all be worth it in the end when you get your money back.

Whatever your personal situation is, you need to keep fighting for the money you are owed. If your debtor refuses to follow the rules then you are fully obliged to take legal action against them.

Obviously, this is never the ideal route out of these types of situations, but sometimes it simply has to be done.

Know Your Worth

Chasing money is never a walk in the park, but you need to stick to your guns and fight for the finances you deserve.

Whether overpriced bills are giving you the blues, clients aren’t paying you or your employer is giving you the salary you deserve.

You can make it right as long as you know how.
