When you think of a chocolate bars, and chocolate treats what is the main brand that springs to mind?
For me it’s Cadbury without a doubt

The Beginning Of Cadbury
The first shop opened by John Cadbury was in Birmingham in 1824
Not your traditional sweet shop like we know them today, he sold tea, coffee, mustard, cocoa and drinking chocolate, which was still considered a luxury item
He soon established himself as one of the leading cocoa and drinking chocolate traders in Birmingham
In 1831, John Cadbury rented a small factory where he manufactured drinking chocolate and cocoa
This was to become the foundation of his business
In 1847 he rented a larger factory with his brother Benjamin, and traded as Cadbury Brothers of Birmingham

With Christmas coming I have been looking at gifts for friends and family

Wonderful to receive chocolate as a gift anytime of year. Unlike socks and gift certificates, I’ve never heard anyone saying ‘Oh no, not chocolate again!”‘.
In my opinion. it’s very hard to beat a gift of chocolate, it’s the closest you can get to giving a present of ‘love’. And a hamper of the stuff is like giving a bumper bundle of love 🙂 XXX

I love Cadbury chocolate but I prefer actual Dairy Milk bar (whihc I have a small one most every day) or bars like Wispa or Twirl. I do eat chcolate with filling but prefer it ‘pure’.

Cadbury’s chocolate is our choice as a family we’ll usually opt for it first out of all the brands , I love the gift baskets and hampers they do and they aren’t a bad price to be fair although I do buy a variety of the 4 bar packs throughtout November/December when they are on offer for a £1 and make up personal chocolate bundles for each member of the family it is so much better value than a selection pack.

I think its a great idea, anyone who likes chocolate wouldn’t turn their nose up at receiving one. I certainly wouldn’t and everyone I know who likes/loves chocolate would feel the same. Plus it doesn’t go off quickly (if stored properly) so can last a while
