I don’t follow any particular haircare routine or specific products. I am always open to trying new products when it comes to improving my hair health and general condition.

Naturally, I have quite thick wavy hair, which I colour and heat style regularly. This obviously causes a few issues with the condition of my hair, especially breakages which I am looking to improve. Since I bought myself a Dyson hair dryer my hair doesn’t break anywhere near as much still more than I would like. So if this Revolution Bond Plex shampoo and conditioner can make that better, then for the price tag it was well worth giving it a go

Revolution Bond Plex Review

The plex system is a triple molecular protein that targets different parts of your hair. Offering strength and protection not just on the surface but also deep into the cuticle of your hair.

The 3 proteins used are designed to target different parts of the hair fibres to keep your hair looking healthy and hydrated. As well as a smoothing agent which is what helps the hair to soft and smooth.

Being a vegan brand the proteins are all plant proteins, so the products remain cruelty-free which I love. Really think all cosmetic brands should be ensuring their products are vegan and cruelty-free, to be honest.

Revolution Shampoo Review

Use exactly the same as any other shampoo, wet hair, lather and rinse.

This was really easy to lather up and I felt like I was working a lot of product into my hair. I didn’t use any more than I normally would so I would say maybe use less than you would normally to save on waste.

There is very little smell to the shampoo. A very mild fresh scent but no perfume or fruity smells afterwards, so it is quite pleasant and not overpowering.

Revolution Bond Plex Conditioner Review

All conditioners you should only apply to the mid to end lengths of your hair. This will prevent your scalp from getting greasy quickly, and it’s the ends that usually need the conditioning.

No need to leave it on for a period of time as it does not act like a hair mask. Simply apply as normal and then thoroughly rinse as you would normally. If you have coloured hair that tends to get knotted, combing through at this stage with a wide tooth comb is a good idea.

Again much like the shampoo, the conditioner has very little to no fragrance to it.

It is advised to towel dry your hair but this is generally the advice from most shampoos and conditioners due to the damage caused by heat.

The Revolution shampoo and conditioners are both 250ml bottles. Each one retails at £10 on the Revolution website.

In comparison to the Olaplex shampoo which is about £25 for a 250ml bottle and the same for the conditioner.

For me, this was an easy decision to buy them as I love so many of the Revolution make-up and beauty products. The 24k Gold eyeshadow palette is a firm favourite of mine and the amazing influencer collaborations

With most beauty dupes comparing the ingredients gives you a fair idea of how similar they are.

Revolution Plex Hair Review

I love using these Revolution Bond Plex products. My hair is feeling smoother and less fly away immediately after the first use.

Like most products haircare you need to try it over a few uses to see results. The smoothness is the only thing I would say is instantly noticeable after first-time use so that’s a good starting point.

After blow drying it the first time I noticed far fewer fly-aways and broken ends which needed serum to tame them.

Very pleased to see it also being stocked on the shelves at my local Sainsbury’s supermarket.

With it being on supermarket shelves I think is a great promotional move by Revolution. Making the product more accessible should result in more sales and show how confident they are in their product’s performance.

I would without hesitation recommend anyone who has been curious about the Olaplex brand to give this a try first. It so far seems to give the same results as an Olaplex and at a snip of the price. Suitable for all hair types too so it really is for everyone.
