Obagi Daily Hydro-Drops facial serum have been a new addition to my skincare routine for about a month now
These were adding into my skincare routine as I needed something extra
This cold weather has really been making my face dry, and I needed an extra boost from my usual skincare routine
Obagi Hydro-Drops
Adding in a serum can usually make you feel a bit cakey, but these are different
One thing that really shocked me with these hydro-drops was the sheer weightlessness of them on my face
Usually I find facial serums to be a lot denser. I often feel like I can tell I have the serum on, but these really surprised me. Im assuming with the main ingredient being water, thats why they are a lot lighter
Having a serum that absorbs into your skin quicker makes layering your skincare easier
They come in a weighty glass bottle with an automatic filling dropper. When you undo the lid, the pipette fills itself without you needing to squeeze or click it
An extra twist and the lid is unlocked and easily unscrewed. The mechanics of the refill and dispense is very cleverly made
Aesthetically the bottle is very pleasing and hygienic to use too
Drop the serum onto your fingers with a click of the lid and the apply
Obagi Facial Serum
The serum is made up of lots of little droplets of hibiscus oil, this is the orange in the image
There is little to no smell to it at all, which I prefer as too many skincare products are unnecessarily perfumed I find
Applying the serum is easy and effortless. I used it all over my face and neck, avoiding my eye area. I prefer to use a specifically formulated eye cream for this
It melts into your skin and leave very little trace once absorbed. There is little to no drying time, as soon as it was applied it melted in
There is no greasy feeling or build up which is noticeable while wearing it either, which is a big plus point as far as I’m concerned
I have happily been applying the Obagi hydro-drops in the morning before my make up and SPF. As well as in the evening after removing my make up and doing my double cleanse
Obagi Review
After the first week I didn’t really see any difference in my skin. My face didn’t feel as though it was as dry and the weather has been really cold, so I’m assuming I was getting some hydration help
The next week or so I started to see my complexion was looking a bit brighter. The noticeable frown line in my forehead which I usually have Botox in was also less obvious. Im under no illusion it will disappear. I have tried so many products over the years, but something which is going to make it softer is welcome
My face has definitely repped the hydration benefits of the Obagi daily hydro-drops. Being militant with my skincare regime has proven beneficial to seeing positive effects to my dry and ageing skin. I usually have more noticeable fine lines especially when my face is dry, and I’m very pleased these have been kept at bay
I would say my bottle will last me at least another few months easily. So thankfully that should get me through to Spring when it isn’t as cold and I shouldn’t need the extra hydration
I would without hesitation use this again. Pure Obagi have a number interesting skincare products that I will be adding to my wishlist too

I was lucky enough to try the Obagi Daily Hydro Drops recently too – they are absolute game changers, aren’t they? Just such a beautiful texture and amazing hydration!
